Exercise 1

Not sure if i did this one right. it said "Describe the memory in a series of images" so thats what I tried to do. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, have a good one

It is Andrew’s 7th birthday and he is very excited wearing a bright orange shirt and navy blue shorts. He is in the kitchen with his mum, who is wearing a white blouse and she is telling him that their dog (a white husky) has escaped onto the old golf course, which their house backs on to. Her look is quite serious while Andrew’s is just happy.

Andrew is running through a beautifully green golf course and it is a fine Scottish summer day with only a few clouds in the sky. He is running fast pretending he is an airplane with his arms spread out. He spots the white dog about 500 meters away, and gets excited, and starts to call out the name “storm”.

The dog has thick white fur and is in a patch of knee high plants. He is looking at Andrew innocently as Andrew reaches him. Andrew steps into the patch of high green plants to bring his dog home when suddenly he freezes. As he looks down at the plants that are touching his legs all over up to his knees, he starts to scream as he realises he is standing in a batch of nettles.

exercise 2

Tom is pacing around his room looking for his only shirt that doesn’t have holes in it. From the look of him it is clear he is normally a person who doesn’t worry about his scruffy appearance, and his hair looks like it hasn’t been washed in 3 weeks. He finds the shirt under his bed and smells it and quickly moves it away from his face, looking at it in disgust. As he mutters “shit” to himself, he looks around the room for a plan B, but no other shirt will suffice. He picks up a lynx deodorant can from the ground and sprays furious at the shirt. After about 5 seconds of continuous spraying, he stops and smells it again. The smell of deodorant is so intense that he gags a little. He throws the shirt onto the bed and decides to move on. He starts the shower, then takes off his clothes and then gets in. He puts his hands through his hair, just washing it with water but when he brings his hands to his face, he is disgusted by the smell. He grabs for the shampoo, but just before his hands reach the bottle has a quick thought of him with the terrible fuzzy looking hair he normally gets after washing his hair. He is unsure what to do.

The camera shot is behind Tom, with fuzzy hair, a stain on the back of his hole-less shirt which he failed to notice as he waits outside the door of his date’s house.
